Karen Salyer Pitts age 44 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012 in Magoffin County, Kentucky. She was born November 8, 1967 in Johnson County to Kenneth and the late Emma Faye Burke Salyer.

She is survived by her husband; Burley Pitts of Salyersville, Ky, one son; Paul Alexander Bailey of Salyersville, Ky, two sisters; Deborah Arnett of Salyersville, Ky and Charity E. Salyer of Phyllis, Ky.

Along with her mother, Karen is preceded in death by one brother; Adam Salyer.

Funeral Services for Karen Salyer Pitts will be conducted at 1 P.M. Thursday, May 10, 2012 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating clergy will be Greg Minix and Carl Macintosh. Burial will follow in the Warnie Bailey Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 5 P.M. Wednesday May 9, 2012 and anytime prior to funeral services on Thursday.
